0034 - Mastering the art of communication in delicate management situations
Course Description
This training is offered only to members of the NB Association of Municipal Administrators as part of the Municipal Management Training Program.
Training in French: campus of Moncton / Training in English: Hanwell
Have you ever had to deal with a disgruntled employee? How do you go about explaining to a member of your team that their request for work leave was rejected? How would you notify someone that their position was terminated? What is the best intervention method in cases of inappropriate behaviour? Which form of communication is best for complaints or grievances?
In every place of work, communication (talking, writing, reading and listening) remains a critical tool for interaction and collaboration.
Nevertheless, when communication becomes particularly delicate, the leader/manager must be able to adapt according to the needs of the person and the circumstances.
Are you a good communicator? How do you know? This training session will help you discover new ways to manage these delicate interventions. We will review the basic notions of communication as well as discuss virtual communication.
